This directory originally began in 1995 to connect and encourage people with a shared vision:
- Building real community through love, friendship, and shared life.
- Practicing the priesthood of all believers.
- Embracing participatory, non-hierarchical leadership, worship, and decision-making.
- Living out Biblical stewardship—directing resources toward ministry and missions rather than buildings or salaries.
- Cultivating Christian spirituality for growth, healing, and daily living.
- Being the Church in a way that reflects Christ more fully.
We believe every Christian—regardless of gender, race, or age—should have full opportunity to use their gifts in the life of the Church. Respect, inclusion, and kindness are expected in all discussions here.
Many in this community are passionate about moving beyond the clergy/laity divide, though we recognize members hold different views. Some see clergy roles as helpful; others see them as harmful. Either way, we ask for civility and grace in conversation, especially with clergy who join us to explore more body-centered expressions of church.
